NOMINATE YOUR TEACHER OF THE MONTH
& CHECK OUT OUR CURRENT HONOREE BELOW

MRS. ELLEN WAUGH
KINDERGARTEN
GOOD SHEPHERD ACADEMY
I have been a kindergarten teacher for most of my career, but also taught preschool and was a substitute teacher when I started out and when my children were small.
I wanted to be an elementary school teacher right out of high school. I thought it would be rewarding and it has been. F
Her nomination:
“I would like to submit Mrs. Waugh from Good Shepherd Academy for Teacher of the Month. She was my daughters kindergarten teacher last year, and she is truly everything you could ever hope a kindergarten teacher would be. She is humble, kind, thoughtful and deeply caring. What stood out most was the love and attention she poured into every single child. At the end of the year, she created a personalized binder for each student, filled with pictures of special moments and memories from the year. I can’t even imagine how much time and effort it took for her to carefully put those together. When I received it, I was brought to tears. It will be something I cherish for years to come. The impact Mrs. Waugh has goes far beyond the classroom. We are so grateful for her and the incredible start she gave our daughter at GSA. It would mean the world to me if you would consider her for this honor. Attached is a picture of Mrs. Waugh (right) and her class from last year – all girls! She embraced it and made the school year truly memorable for them!”
