Born and raised in Central PA, Valentine grew up listening to HOT while knocking out homework. His first job was a radio station mascot, but he went from hanging into the studio, to getting on the air. Val eventually landed a job as the host of the night show on 97.1. After a few sun-soaked years doing radio in South Florida, he traded hurricanes for hiking and came back to NEPA, where he now hosts afternoons on HOT 97.1. A music junkie, “plant daddy,” sneakerhead, and self-proclaimed nerd, Valentine’s all about NEPA summers, comic book movies, vintage finds, and his Jeep. Mental health matters big to him, as he embraces life (and ADHD) with humor and heart — just don’t judge his Starbucks addiction
